daughter of Joshua and Mary Riblett. Mr. Riblett, who died Nov. 21, 1921, was a Civil war veteran, have served with Company K, fifty-fifth Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry. His widow was born in Bedford County, Pa., in 1840, and resides in Portage. To Mrs. And Mrs. Cullen three children have been born: Raymond W., born June 25, 1903, attended Portage High School, Cambria Business College and the Johnstown College of Music. He lives at home and is employed by the People Auto Service Company, Portage; Esker W., a junior in Portage High School; and Charles J., born Dec. 13, 1916.
    Mr. Cullen is a Republican and a member of the United Brethren Church. He is greatly interested in deer hunting and each year devotes some time to this sport. He has several fine specimen deer mounted, of which he is justly proud.




    N. W. Moore has been numbered among the representative merchants of Portage, where he is engaged in hardware business. He was born in Furguson Township, Clearfield County, Pa., April 24, 1873, and is the son of R.H. and Harriet (Straw) Moore.
    R. H. Moore was born in Clearfield County in 1850 and died in 1922. He spent his entire life in Furguson Township, where he was interested in the lumber business. Mr. Moore was a Democrat, a member of the Presbyterian Church and Masonic Lodge. His widow, also a native of Clearfield County, lives at Byrnedale, Pa. To Mr. and Mrs. Moore six children were born, as follows: N. W., the subject of this sketch; Mrs. J.C. Witherow, lives at Byrbedale, Pa.; Frank, died in infancy; Mary E., died at the age of nine years; Nellie, died in infancy; and Lee, address unknown.
    N. W. Moore spent his boyhood in Furguson Township and received his education in the district schools. He engaged in general farming until about 1899, at which time he became identified with the Eureka Store Company at Windber, where he served 11 years as manager. In May, 1910, he removed to Portage, where he engaged in the general hardware business with H. E. Bantley, of Windber. This partnership continued until 1922, when Mr. Moore become sole owner of the business. He has a well established trade and also deals in builders supplies, paints and varnishes, and sporting goods. Mr. Moore is a stockholder in the Miners & Merchants Deposit Bank, Portage, and a director in the Portage Water Company.
