DIED.
On Saturday, the 12th inst., at the residence of Col. John McGough in Washington township, Mr. Andrew Donnelly, aged about sixty years.
In many respects, the deceased was a very remarkable man. Scarcely a man, woman or child within the limits of Cambria, Indiana, and Westmoreland counties, but was personally acquainted with Andy Donnelly, the Pedlar [sic], and by all will his memory be cherished with feelings of kindness. His kind heart and honest and upright conduct through a long life, endeared him to all with whom he became acquainted. Although totally uneducated, he managed to amass a fortune of over twenty thousand dollars. We learn that his remains were taken to Blairsville by his friends and interred in the Catholic burial ground of that place. |
