Remarks:   William J. Blanset, aged 83 years, a life-long resident of Somerset County died of pneumonia at his home in Stoyestown at 7:30 oclock this morning.

The aged man was quite well known throughout the county, having been engaged as a teacher in this section for several years and was active in other pursuits, among them farming, which he carried on on a small scale in recent years.

William Blanset was born in Quemahoning Township on May 8, 1844, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Blanset, who also spent practically all their life in this county. The deceased is survived by his widow, Mrs. Louisa (Hochstein) Blanset, and the following children George Blanset, of Stoyestown; John H. Blanset, Stoyestown undertaker; Homer Blanset, of Bridge street, Johnstown; Ross Blanset, of Somerset street, Johnstown; Jay Blanset, of Oakhurst, Johnstown; Mary, wife of Ernest Proctor, of Grove avenue, Johnstown; Mrs. Lucy Pebly, of Moxham, and Pearl, wife of John Hildebrand, of Philadelphia. One brother, Jacob Blanset, of Latrobe, also survives. Funeral arrangements have not been completed.
