Daniel J. Luther of No. 837 Sherman street, died at the Memorial Hospital at 11:10 oclock this forenoon, of typhoid fever, which he contracted while caring for his wife and one of his sons, who are just recovering from the disease. He had been sick about a fortnight.
Daniel Luther was about fifty-two years of age and was a brother of Dr. J. A. and Mr. Hugh M. Luther, of Scalp Level; Louis C., of New Florence; Samuel H., who resides in the Ligonier Valley, and Mrs. Belle Heiple, of Waterford.
The deceased had been in Johnstown for about thirty years. His wife, who is a daughter of Mr. Jeremiah Penrod, of the Sixth Ward, survives him and four sons.
Arrangements have not ben completed for the funeral. |
