Mrs. Elizabeth Rachel Baker, relict of the late George Baker, died at the home of her son George, near Cookport, Indiana County, at 7::30 oclock yesterday morning, of paralysis aged about seventy years, A year ago Mrs. Bakers one side was completely paralyzed; last autumn a second stroke came; and a few days ago she was visited by a third attack, after which she remained in an unconscious condition until her death.
Mrs. Baker and her husband were among the pioneers of eastern Indiana County and were ranked with the most loved and honored citizens of that region, Mr. Baker died several years ago. Ten children survive, as follows; Levi, of Clearfield County; Mary, wife of Simon Buterbaugh, of Dixonville; Hezekiah, also of Dixonville; Jane, wife of Jonathan Learn, of Cookport; S. Furman, of Purchase Line; George H., of Cookport; Elizabeth, wife of I. N. Buterbaugh, of Brushvalley; Philip N., of Indiana; James H., of Dixonville; Lucy, wife of George McCullough, of Cookport.
The funeral will take place tomorrow morning, interment to be made in East Mahoning Cemetery, alongside the remains of deceaseds husband, Mrs. Baker was the grandmother of Mrs. Elmer E. Conrath, of the South Side, this city who left on Altoona Accommodation this morning to be present at the obsequies.
