WISSINGER - Lois Marie
WISSINGER - Lois Marie, 76, Good Samaritan Nursing Care Center, formerly of Ferndale, died March 24, 2006, at the center. Born Jan. 21, 1930, in Johnstown, daughter of Joshua Peter and Mary M. (Connor) Wissinger. Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Raymond and Donald; and sister, Betty Skidel. Survived by sisters, Virginia, married to James Thompson; Esther, widow of James Bumbernick; and Anna Mae, married to Dean Glessner, all of Johnstown. Also survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews. Lois routinely donated blood to the Red Cross. She was the primary caregiver for her mother for years and loved to bake and did so until the final year of her life. Retired from the dietary department of Mercy Hospital with 45 years of service. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p .m. Monday at John Henderson Co. Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave., where service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, the Rev. Donna Hess. Interment, Forest Lawn Cemetery.
