ZACK - John A., 95, of Mine 37, died May 15, 2020, at Windber Woods. Born January 5, 1925, in Windber the son of Gregorio and Maria (Fanale) Zaccagni. Preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ruth (Melosky) Zack; brother, Jim Zack; and sister, Jean Damasiewicz. Survived by his siblings: Tony Zack, Windber; Ida Zborovancik, Central City; Nancy Gaio, Windber; Erma Mincek, OH; and special nephew, Jeremy Layton, Windber and numerous nieces and nephews. John was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church Windber. He was retired from Bethlehem Steel Corp.; a US Army Veteran of the Korean War; member of the American Legion Windber Post 137; VFW Windber Post 4795; and Life Member Loyal Order of Moose Windber Lodge 349. Due to the Covid virus restrictions a private funeral service will be held at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home, Inc., Broad Street with committal at St. John Cantius Cemetery, Windber, Fr. Roderick N. Soha, TOR. |
