| BUCK.--Died at his home in Allegheny township on Monday, January 6, 1896, Mr. Jacob Buck, aged 64 years The deceased was a well-known and respected citizen and stood high in the estimation of his neighbors in the community in which he lived. He was the father of fourteen children, ten of whom, with their mother survive him. He is also survived by three brothers--John and Frank, of Carrolltown, and W.J., of Allegheny township. His remains were interred in St. Monica's cemetery at Chest Springs on Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock. Of, father, thy gentle voice is hushed, Thy warm, true heart is still. And on thy pale and peaceful face Is resting Death's cold chill. Thy hands are clasped upon thy breast, We have kissed thy lovely brow, And in our aching hearts we know We have no father now. |
