BERNARD BRACKEN.

Bernard Bracken, a well-known citizen of Gallitzin, died there Saturday night, after a brief illness, aged seventy-four years. The funeral will be held from St. Michael's Church, Gallitzin, to-morrow morning at 9 o'clock. Interment to be made in the church cemetery after a requiem mass.

Bernard Bracken was the second son of the late Michael and Mary Bracken and was born at Bolivar October 27, 1829, removing with his parents a year after his birth, to Johnstown, where the family remained three or four years, later going to the Viaduct, and thence to Gallitzin. The deceased was unmarried and made his home with an aged aunt, Margaret Whalen, at whose house he passed away. He is survived by a brother, Michael Bracken, also of Gallitzin, and a number of nieces and nephews, including the sons of Michael Bracken -- J. Hayden and Paul, both of this dity; W. C., J. P., Michael J., all of Gallitzin, and Francis B., a Philadelphia attorney; Mrs. E. T. McNeelis, of this city, and other children of the late Mrs. John T. Cooney, of Conemaugh, a sister of the deceased; the children of the late Mrs. Thomas MCabe, also of Conemaugh, another sister, and of the late Mrs. John Egan, of the Viaduct, the remaining sister of Mr. Bracken. A daughter of Mrs. John Egan is the wife of Editor P. C. Boyle, of the Oil City "Derrick."
