DONOUGH -- Died of pleuro-pneumonia, at the residence of her brother-in-law, Mr. Peter Hall, in Allegheny township, on Tuesday, Feb. 14, 1882, Ellen, youngest daughter of late Patrick and Eliza Donoughe, aged 21 years and 10 months.

The subject of this notice had taken on herself the task of caring for the family of her sister all of whom were prostrated with diphtheria. Her over-tried strength gave way, however, and she fell at her post. No one ever bore intense suffering with more fortitude, or accepted death with more resignation. From a life of innocence, and consoled by the last rites of the Catholic church she passed, let us hope, to a happy eternity. We pray that the reunion with her parents, to which she looked forward with such a firm faith and bright anticipations, will be speedily, if it has not already been realized. The respect in which she was held, and the deep sympathy felt for her sorrowing relatives, were well attested by the large attendance at her funeral in Loretto, and by the great numbers who were present at the Mass offered for the repose of her soul.
