AGED PORTAGE WOMAN PASSES TO HER REWARD
Mrs. Eliza Plummer dies at age of 88 - Funeral Sunday Afternoon
Special to The Tribune - Portage, January 9, 1915 - Mrs Eliza Plummer, 88 years old, died at 8 o'clock yesterday morning at her home here following a brief illness with neuralgia of the head and heart. Her relatives had been summoned to her bedside a few days ago and were present when she passed away.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 o'clock tomorrow afternoon, Sunday, January 10, in the Portage U. E. Church and interment will be in Mt. Union Cemetery. The sermon will be presented by the Rev. N. Frank Boyer, pastor of the U. E. Church, of which Mrs. Plummer had been a member practically all her life and interment will be under the direction of Undertaker Shull of Portage, PA
Mrs. Plummer was the mother of Mrs. Minnie Dunmire of Portage, PA, with whom she had been living; Caleb and Lemon Plummer, both of Portage, PA; Mrs. Carrie Woleslagle of Wilmerding, PA; Mrs. Martha Lauffer of Portage, PA; and Mrs. Ida Mae Yeager of Franklin, PA. She was a sister of Frank Hammer of Portage, PA. |
