WOODLEY, John B., 80, Westover, died Jan. 16, 1984, at Memorial Hospital, Johnstown. Born Oct. 23, 1903, in Elder Township, son of Henry and Margaret (Lantzy) Woodley. Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Martin, Frank, Henry, Joseph, William, Edward and Charles. Survived by widow, former Virginia Fry; and these children: Albert E., Grove City; Mrs. Cynthia Peddicord, Westover; Mrs. Nannette Hermes, Westover; and Mrs. Mary Louise Miller, Hastings R.D.; also eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Brother of Mrs. Agnes Carpinello, Hastings R.D.; and Mrs. Gladys Carpinello, St. Boniface; and Mrs. Erma Sutton, Lancaster. Member of Du Bois Chapter 62, DAV; and Hastings Local 393, UMWA. World War I veteran. Was member of U.S. Third Cavaley. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at Easly Funeral Home, Hastings, where service will be held at 9 a.m. Friday, the Rev. Charles Long, Westover. Interment, Indianatown Gap National Cemetery. |
