| PHILIP KRUG, Past ninety years, Dead Carrolltown, August 10. Philip Krug, aged 93 years, 4 months and 7 days, for years a resident of Cambria County, died at 5:30 o'clock Sunday morning at the home of his son John, Carroll Township. Philip Krug was a farmer all his life. He was born in Germany, coming to America when a boy. His wife died five years ago Sunday. Mr. Krug was father to a large family, rearing 14 or 15 children. Those surviving are: Katherine, wife of James Miller; Matilda, wife of George Kline; Celia, wife of Augustus Kirsch; Helena of Scranton; Theresa of Spangler; Jacob of New Washington; John at home; Edward of Spangler; and Mrs. Charles Yeckley. The funeral was held yesterday, with Mass at 9 o'clock in St. Benedict's Catholic Church and interment in the church cemetery. |
