Allegheny Township Woman Expires at Her Home Near Loretto This Morning

Loretto, March 29. - Mrs. Mary Glass Buck, wife of William J. Buck, an aged and highly respected resident of this vicinity, died at her home in Allegheny Township, near here, at 1:45 o'clock this morning after a long illness of general debility, aged seventy-two years. The deceased was born in this vicinity in 1837 and was married to William J. Buck at St. Michael's Catholic Church in 1857. She is survived by her husband, a sister, Mrs. John Yahner, of Jeannette, and by the following sons and daughters: Henry and Demetrius, of Carroll Township; Alexander and Charles, of Cresson; Andrew, Albert and Edward, at home; Mrs. Gussie Bengele, Mrs. Isadore Campbell, and Mrs. Jerome Dawson, of Gallitzin, and Mrs. Edward Boes, of Allegheny Township. Mr. Buck's health has been impaired for some time and Mrs. Dawson, his daughter is a patient in a Pittsburg institution.

The funeral will take place on Wednesday morning from St. Michael's Catholic Church here, where a solemn high mass of requiem will be said for the repose of the soul of the deceased. The celebrant of the mass will be the Rev. Father Thomas W. Rosensteel, pastor of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Sharpsburg, Pittsburg, a lifelong friend of the Buck family. The deacon and subdeacon will be announced to-morrow. Interment will be made in St. Michael's Cemetery at this place.
