Thursday, Nov. 7, 1905 William Brandt, one of the oldest men in central Pennsylvania, died at 12 o'clock Sunday night at his home along Dry Gap, near Altoona, at the age of ninety years. He had been confined to his bed for about six years. The deceased was born in Butler County, but moved many years ago to St. Augustine, where he resided for about thirty-five years. His wife, to whom he was married sixty-nine years ago, survives him with eight children, as follows: Mrs. George Seabold, of Lilly; Mrs. John Wagner, of Dry Gap; Jacob, Elias, Joseph, George, and Frank, all of Altoona and vicinity, and Michael, of Fayette County. After a mass has been said at 9 o'clock to-morrow morning in St. John's Church, Altoona, burial will be made in Calvary Cemetery.
