James M. Brady, aged about 42 years, died yesterday at Wooster, O., where he was foreman of a print shop for a number of years. James Michael Brady was a son of John and Julia (Donohue) Brady and was born at the Brady homestead, Franklin and Locust streets, this city, in 1878. His father perished in the Johnstown Flood of May 1889, and his mother died a week or so following the flood as the result of injuries received in that catastrophe. James Brady served his apprenticeship in the job office of the late Samuel M. Lynch and later worked on several of the local dailies. His wife, Mrs. Margaret (Baker) Brady died in the western part of Pennsylvania about eight years ago. Surviving are one daughter, Mercedes, residing in Glendale, Pa., and the following brothers and sisters: Thomas F. and Ray Brady, 217 Lincoln street; Mrs. Sarah J. Mooney, Highland avenue; Francis T., New Kensington, and Mrs. Mary Cresswell, Somerset street. Thomas F. Brady left last night for Wooster to bring the body to Johnstown for burial. It is expected to arrive this evening and will be taken charge of by Undertaker McGahan. The funeral will take place from St. John's Catholic Church, probably on Thursday. |
