Death of a Pioneer Resident of Hastings – Demise of Mrs. Anna

Mrs. Anthony Anna, wife of the well known justice of the peace, of Hastings, died at her home Monday evening at the age of 86 years. She was a daughter of George and Margaret Hahn and was a native of Germany, coming to this country when but seven years old and settling with her parents in Baltimore. The Hahn family later removed to St. Boniface and in 1856 the deceased married Anthony Ann (sic), at Carrolltown. Besides her husband, she is survived by the following children: Charles of St. Boniface; Mathilda, wife of H. L. Miller of Hastings; and Henry, of Pittsburg. Funeral services were held at the Hastings Catholic church Thursday morning. Interment being made in the cemetery at St. Boniface.
