| Samuel Shaw A man named Samuel Shaw, of Juniata township, Blair county, a deserter from the United States' army was shot and killed at his residence on the 11th by a detachment of the provost guard who were attempting to arrest him. In a disturbance that ensued a citizen was slightly wounded by the guard. |
