| HARRY A. WEAVER DEAD Seventh Ward Civil War Veteran Passes Away of a Complication of Diseases. Harry A. Weaver, aged seventy-one years, died between 1 and 2 o'clock this morning at the Weaver home, No. 618 Horner street, Seventh Ward, after a long illness of general debility. The funeral will take place on Monday afternoon from the Weaver home, services to be conducted at 2 o'clock by the Rev. G. Mahlon Miller, pastor of the First United Brethren Church. Interment will be made in Sandyvale Cemetery. Muncie, Northumberland County, is the palce where Harry Weaver was born in April 1840 and at Sunbury he and Miss Malinda Stearn were united in marriage in 1875. Harry Weaver was a Civil War veteran, having served three years in Company D, One Hundred and Fifty-second Regiment, Pennsylvania Light Artillery. Mr. Weaver was a stationary engineer by occupation and worked for eighteen years on the Pennsylvania Railroad. He ran the machinery for a long time in the Suppes ice plant and had of late been employed by the Johnstown Electric Light Company. Besides his wife, Mr. Weaver is survived by the following children: Hubert, Miss Goldie, and Ord Weaver, at home; George Weaver, of Poplar street; Alfred Weaver, of Steelton; John Weaver, of Lincoln street, and Mrs. Chester McCoy, of Lcust street. He is also survived by two brothers and two sisters -- Miss Sue Weaver, Mrs. George Reed, Judge Weaver, and Alfred Weaver, all of Tyrone. Mrs. Weaver is a sister of Capt. Frank M. Stearn, of the local police force, and Mrs. William Gussman, of Huntingdon County. Harry Weaver was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church for a number of years. |
