| Mrs. Mary Pringle. Mary Pringle, relict of Daniel Pringle, died at the home of her son Mark on Second street, Conemaugh, yesterday morning at 10 o'clock, aged seventy-eight years. Mrs. Pringle's maiden name was Sharpe, and she was a sister of Powell Sharpe, P. R. R. engine inspector at Altoona. She was married to Daniel Pringle at Lilly, this county, in 1840, and they moved at once to Johnstown, remaining here two years, at the end of which time they went to Pringle Hill, in Summerhill Township, which was their home until 1865. That year they removed to Conemaugh, where both ended their days. Mr. Pringle died April 22, 1891. Since then his widow had made her home with different members of her family, all of whom have resided in or near Conemaugh. She was the mother of nine children, of whom the surviving are as follows: Elizabeth, wife of Sheriff D. W. Coulter, of Ebensburg; W. S. Pringle, conductor on the P. R. R., of Conemaugh; Mrs. David Courter, of Conemaugh also; Mark, at whose home she died, and Powell, of Franklin Borough, an employee of Cambria Iron Company. Mrs. Pringle was a member of the United Brethren Church, and Rev. I. P. Truxal, of that denomination at Conemaugh, will conduct her funeral services on Saturday morning at 10 o'clock. Interment will be made in Headrick's Cemetery. |
