DePETRO – Betty Lou "Bootsie," 74, Elmora, died Dec. 30, 2009, at home. Born Dec. 26, 1935, in Elmora, daughter of the late Zola and Valara (Ponchock) Wagner. Survived by children, Robert DePetro, married to the former Catherine Barrett, Northern Cambria; Deana DePetro, Elmora; George DePetro (Melanie Walters), Roaring Spring; and Veronica, wife of Brian Yachtis, Northern Cambria. Beloved, "Meme" to grandchildren, Jeff, and wife, Lauren; Leah, Geoffrey, Allyson and Adam; and "Gee-Gee" to great-granddaughters, Emilee and Alyssa. Sister of Mary Louise (Tom) Markovich, Levittown, N.Y. Also survived by special friend, Carl Barrett. Betty was a devoted mother and grandmother who cherished the time she spent with family. She will lovingly be remembered by all who knew her. Member of St. Marys Ukrainian Catholic Church. Member of the ladies auxiliary of VFW Post 8897, St. Benedict. Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Moriconi Funeral Home Inc., Northern Cambria, where Parastas will be held at 6:15 p.m. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Monday at St. Marys Ukrainian Catholic Church, Father Joseph Tamburro, celebrant. Committal, Sacred Heart Cemetery, Elmora.
