Mrs. Thomas Cummins

Mrs. Thomas Cummins, aged seventy-nine years, died Thursday of last week at her home in Braddock after a week’s illness. The deceased, whose maiden name was Jane Marks, [sic?] was born in England, but spent the greater portion of her life in this country.

Miss Mraks [sic?] came to America over fifty years ago and was married to Johnson Williams, who died in the Thirteenth Ward, this city, about 1891. Soon after the death of Mr. Williams his widow moved to Braddock and was married there six years ago to Thomas Cummings, who survives her. Besides Mr. Cummings she is survived by the following children: Thomas, William, and James Williams, of North Braddock; Mrs. E. G. Fisher, of Jacobs Creek; Mrs. J. A. McKay, of East End, Pittsburg; Mrs. N. Gordon, of Turtle Creek, and Frank Williams, of Broad Top. She is also survived by a brother, Thomas Marks, of Turtle Creek; eighteen grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Services were held at the Cummins home in Braddock Friday evening and the remains were brought to Johnstown next morning and interred in Grand-View Cemetery, where those of Johnson Williams repose. The Episcopal burial services were conducted by the Rev. Arthur S. Lewis at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church imemdiately after the arrival of the remains from Braddock. All the relatives of the deceased accompanied the remains to Johnstown.
