| PHILIP MILLER The subject of this notice died at home in Jackson Township, Saturday, January 14th, at 5:15 o'clock A.M., aged eighty-six years one month and one day. He was born in Hagerstown, Md., in 1812, and when a young man moved with his parents to Baker's furnace, where he worked in the furnace and afterward run the grist mill at that time known Cramer Mill, the deceased being a miller by trade. In 1840 Mr. Miller united in marriage with Miss Susan Fullcomer, of Armaugh, Indiana County, who, at an advance age survives him. Twenty-six years ago they removed to the home where Mr. Miller died. Nine children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Miller, five (precede their) father ( ) The living are Mrs. Sarah ( ) Ressler, of (Cramer), Stewart, of Coopersdale; George, of Braddock; and Samuel, of Morrellville. Deceased is also survived by one sister--Mrs. Susan Lane of Ligonier, and two brothers-Findley of T(yrone) and William, of Ohio. He was also the brother of Mrs. Margaret Updegraff, who was killed in Morrellville on the railroad last February. Deceased was a member of the Cramer M.E. Church and his remains were laid to rest in the church graveyard. [NOTE: ( ) denotes unclear or unreadable words.] |
