| John E. Walls, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Walls, died at South Fork after a brief illness of influenza. He was a well known merchant being interested in the firm of Lane & Walls, and was aged 32. He was a member of the Masonic Fraternity, Odd Fellows, Knights of Malta and P.O.S. of A. He was married seven years ago to Miss Lillie Lane, daughter of A. Lane of South Fork, who survives with one daughter, Marian. He is also survived by his parents, two brothers and one sister—Edwin in France, and Samuel and Dorothy of South Fork; Jean, the eldest daughter of the deceased, preceded him to the grave a week previous to his death. The funeral took place this afternoon at 2:30; interment in the South Fork Cemetery Newspapers: Johnstown Tribune, Oct 28, 1918 p11 and Altoona Mirror, Oct 28, 1918. |
