WISSINGER -- Mrs. Vesta M., 94, Mine 40, Windber, died March 6, 200 2, at the Church of the Brethren Home, Windber. Born April 23, 1907, in Fermanagh Township, Juniata County, daughter of Samuel H. and Emma M. (Wood) Whistler. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Clarence L., who died on Oct. 25, 1974; sons, Orva Clair Wissinger and Russell Boyd Wissinger; brothers, Clarence, Lawrence, Robert and Everett; sisters, Grace and Anna. Survived by grandchildren, William C., married to former Chris tine Rayman, Gray; David F., Windber; James R., married to former Sharon Bossi, Windber; and Ronald S. and fiancee, Christine Sadlon, Windber. Also survived by great-grandchildren, great-great- grandchildren and man y nieces and nephews. Mrs. Wissinger was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She enjoyed socializing and dancing to polkas. Lifetime member of the Windber Post 4795, VFW Ladies Auxiliary; and the former Scalp Level Post 479. Member of Scalp Level Trinity United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Dalla Valle Funeral Home, Windber, where service will he held at 1 p.m. Saturday, the Rev. Arthur T. Moffat Jr. and the Rev. Ken Gresh . Interment, Richland Cemetery.
