James M. Purcell, a well-known gentleman of Altoona, was killed near Lilly Sunday evening on the P.R.R. It is not known hown (sic) how the accident occurred. He attended Mass in St. John’s Catholic church in the morning and must have gone to Cresson in the afternoon and started to walk to Lilly. He had been in ill health for some time. He was 40 years old and unmarried. He is survived by his mother, four brothers and one sister. He was employed as a clerk in the car record office of the P.R.R. for a number of years but lately has been a hotel clerk. |
