| Henry Link Called by Death. Henry Link, one of Susquehanna townships oldest residents died at his home at 12:15 o’clock Monday morning. Mr. Link had undergone three amputations on one leg and one operation on the side. Gangreen developed which caused his death. He was aged 69 years, 10 months and 4 days. Mr. Link was born at Hollidaysburg, Blair county in 1846 and he came to Carroll township with his parents in 1840 (sic). On June 17, 1873 he was married to Miss Lucinda Bender, of Carroll township and the same year he moved to the farm where he died. Besides his wife he is survived by the following children: William A., of Susquehanna township; Rose E., wife of W. B. Dillon, Vincent V., of Hastings, Mary widow of Joseph Cunningham, of Susquehanna township; Henry V., of Hastings; Adaline, at home; Annie S., wife of George Lantzy, of Hastings; Edward L. and Emma G., at home. He is also survived by the following brothers: Andrew, of Carroll township; Joseph, of Ebensburg, and Peter, of Altoona. Funeral services were held at 9 o’clock Tuesday morning with a requiem high mass in St. Bernard’s church. Interment was in the church cemetery. |
