GERTRUDE COVER
Gertrude Cover, the nine-year-old daughter of Liveryman William C. Cover, whose serious condition, resulting from vaccination, was noted in yesterday's Democrat, died at the home of her father, 108 Market street, at 12:30 o'clock yesterday afternoon. The cause of her death was lockjaw. The child suffered from 22 convulsions and despite all that eight physicians could do succumbed to the dread affliction. Miss Cover was born at 214 Adams street, Sept. 7, 1893. Her mother, Mrs. Sadie E. Cover, died at that place Oct. 4, 1895. Her father, a sister, Miss Genevieve, a brother, W. Scott Cover, who is employed by the U.S. Express company, and a stepmother and stepbrother survive her. The funeral will take place Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The Rev. Dr. W. A. Shipman will conduct the funeral services, interment to be made in the Cover lot in Grand View Cemetery. |
