Died of His Injuries
At half-past 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon, Charles Wehn, the young man who was so seriously hurt at the Steel Works of C. I. Co., on Saturday, died and during the interval from the time the damper plate fell on his head, he did not regain consciousness. The plate did not strike him directly on top of the cranium, but in a glancing way on the frontal bone of the forehead, and concussion of the brain resulted. It was hoped even up until yesterday at noon that he might recover his senses, but in this his relatives and many friends who attended constantly at his bedside were disappointed. He was in all respects an excellent young man, and his sad fate, just when a bright future seemed spreading out before him, will be deeply mourned by his kindred and acquaintances. Deceased was aged about nineteen years. |
