Dr. B. F. Walker.

Dr. Benjamin Franklin Walker, whose death at his home in Ligonier, Westmoreland County, on Thursday of last week, of Bright's disease, at the age of thirty-six years, was referred to in our last issue, was born and raised at Berlin, and was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Walker, who reside on the old homestead.

He was married fifteen years ago, at Berlin, to Miss Ellen Masters, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Emanuel Masters, of Somerset County, relatives of Hon. Joseph and Mr. Samuel Masters, of this place.

In 1885 the departed graduated at Jefferson Medical College, Philadelphis; for four years following he had an office at Jennertown, Somerset County, and early in 1889 he moved to Ligonier.

Beside his wife, son, and parents, who have been referred to, he is survived by four brothers and one sister, viz: Charles, of Seneca, Kan.; James, of Carrollton, Neb.; George and Robert, of Berlin, and Jane, wife of Henry Musser, of Carrollton, Neb.

Dr. Walker was a member of the Lutheran Church, and Dr. Taylor, of that denomination, at Berlin, conducted the obsequies previous to interment of the remains on Sunday.
