Robert J. “Toby” Anna, 67, North Julian St., Ebensburg, died Feb. 13, 2003, at Miners Medical Center. Born Nov. 9, 1935, in Cresson, he was the son of the late Charles J. and Mary Catherine (Lilly) Anna. He was preceded in death by his infant brother, John M. Surviving are his daughters, Jodi K. Farise, North Carolina; and Julia A. Moore, Nanty Glo; and grandchildren, Jackson and Brandi Farise; and Anissa, Shawn and Sara Moore. He was a brother of Colman R. (Anne) Anna, Ebensburg; Charles F. (Nancy) Anna, Downey, Calif.; Mary Jane (Stanley) Guzic, Greencastle; and Isabel (Patrick) Buynack and Lawrence G. Anna, all of Ebensburg. Mr. Anna was a member of Holy Name Roman Catholic Church, Ebensburg. Social member of Ebensburg Post 363 American legion. U.S. Air Force veteran. Toby had been employed at Bethlehem Mines, C&I Railroad and Bethlehem Steel Corp. Friends were received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 16 at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg, where a vigil prayer service was held Sunday evening. Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at Holy Name Church, the Rev. Msgr. Arnold L. Gaus, celebrant. Committal, Holy Name Cemetery. |
