HIRAM WISSINGER'S FUNERAL TOMORROW
The Rev. J. A. Rishler, pastor of the Scalp Level Lutheran Church, and Elder Abram Fyock, of the Church of the Brethren, will at 9:30 o'clock tomorrow morning conduct the funeral of Hiram Wissinger, who died suddenly of heart failure on Monday at his home in Walnut Grove. Interment will be in the Dunmyer Cemetery, near Elton.
Hiram Wissinger was born in Stonycreek Township 73 years ago, and was a brother of Sylvlester Wissinger, of the Seventh Ward; George W. Wissinger, of the Seventeenth Ward, and Mrs. Juliann Horner, of Ogletown. He was married in Adams Township over 50 years ago to Miss Catherine Gerhardt, daughter of William Gerhardt, who survives her, together with a son, a daughter, and two grandchildren. The son is James F. Wissinger, of Richland Township; the daughter, Rebecca, wife of George A. Wissinger, of Walnut Grove, and the grandchildren were Ralph and Alberta Wissinger, children of James F. Wissinger. Hiram Wissinger was a lifelong member of the Lutheran Church. He served as a private in Company __, 56th Regiment, P. V. I., during the Rebellion, having enlisted in Indiana County. |
