| Elton Merchant Dead William G. Paul, Whose Illness Has Been Mentioned in These Columns, Died To-day. Elton, April 24. - William G. Paul, one of Elton's leading citizens, died at his home here at 12 o'clock to-day, after an illness of pneumonia, which developed last Friday. Mr. Paul was born March 2, 1873, in this vicinity and had lived all his life here. He owned considerable land at tone time, but disposed of most of it some years ago and had since followed the vocation of a merchant. He was married about twelve years ago to Miss Idella Berkey, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ephraim Berkey, who survives him, with two children - Clarence and Emmett, at home. Mr. Paul is also servived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jeremiah Paul, who live in the Seventeenth Ward, Johnstown, and by the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Dr. Helsel, of Scalp Level; Mrs. Jacob E. Sauters, of Elton; Austin Leroy, an employee of John Thomas & Sons, Johnstown, and Morrell, of Elton. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 o'clock Sunday morning in the United Evangelical Church here, with burial in the old Snavely graveyard. |
