William E. Pringle, 75, retired Pennsylvania Railroad locomotive engineer, many years ago a resident of Conemaugh and known at all points on the Pittsburgh Division, died at his home in Greensburg at 4:30 o'clock yesterday morning. He was located at Conemaugh until 30 years ago when he moved to Greensburg. He retired five years ago after 50 years and seven months in the railroad service. Mr. Pringle's death was attributed to a stroke of apoplexy.

A native of Cambria County, Mr. Pringle was a brother of Joseph Pringle, 430 Wood Street, and of Jordan Pringle, Coatesville, Pa. Surviving also are his widow, Mrs. Bertha M. Pringle, and a son, Irwin D. Pringle, of Greensburg. Mr. Pringle was a member of the Greensburg United Brethren Church, of the Brotherhood Class of that congregation and of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers.

Funeral services will be held at the Pringle home in Greensburg tomorrow afternoon. Rev. Glen C. Shaffer, his pastor, to officiate. Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery, Johnstown.
