PRINGLE -- Mrs. Ellen A., 98, Mineral Point R.D.1, died Jan. 14, 1971, at Lee Hospital. Born March 26, 1872, in Franklin Borough, a daughter of Samuel and Sarah (Wissinger) Byers. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Edgar E.; two sons, Stanley and Harry; two daughters, Milva and Jessie; and seven brothers and two sisters. Survived by a daughter, Edna, wife of George Golden, Mineral Point R.D.1, with whom she made her home, and a son, Telford A., Seminole, Fla.; also 12 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. Oldest member of Conemaugh First United Methodist Church. Member of auxiliary to Oriental Commandery 61, Knights Templar, and Johnstown Chapter 183, Order of Eastern Star. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Picking-Treece-Bennett Mortuary, where service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, by Rev. Kenneth Polen. Interment, Headrick Cemetery.
