Everett Courter Expired To-Day.

Young Railroader Who Had His Legs Ground Off Passed Away at Cambria Hospital.

Funeral at Conemaugh.

Everett Courter, the young railroader who was injured in a run-in at Buttermilk Falls, above Conemaugh, on Wednesday forenoon, died at 1:30 this morning, aged twenty years. The young man's legs were cut off above the knees and he did not regain consciousness after the operation was performed at the Cambria Hospital, where he passed away. The remains were taken in charge to-day by Undertaker E. J. Bearer, of Conemaugh, who prepared them for burial. The funeral will take place at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon from the Courter home on Second street, Conemaugh, where the Rev. B. L. Seneff, of the Conemaugh United Brethren Church, will conduct the obsequies. Interment will be made in Headrick's Cemetery, above Conemaugh.

Everett Courter was born in Conemaugh in 1887, being a son of David and Kate Pringle Courter and a brother of Mrs. Nellie Davis, of Conemaugh; Miss Courter, at home, and Harry and Daniel Courter, both of Second street, Conemaugh. Everett Courter went to work on the Pennsylvania Railroad as a brakeman a short time ago. He was working for Conductor William Aurandt, on the "Moonlight Local," when the accident occurred which resulted in his death. The young rairoader [sic] was married last Christmas to Miss Etta Byers, of East Taylor Township. Ex-Sheriff D. W. Coulter, of Franklin Borough, is an uncle of the deceased.
