| Mrs. David W. Coulter. Eliza J., wife of Ex-Sheriff David W. Coulter, died at her home on First street, Conemaugh, at 9:40 o'clock Saturday night. She had not been in good health for fifteen years, but was able to be about until a few days before she died. The cause of her death was a complication of diseases. The deceased was born in Johnstown on May 7, 1841, and was a sister of Mrs. David Courter, of Conemaugh, and William and Paul Pringle, both of Franklin Borough. Daniel Pringle, father of Mrs. Coulter, died in Franklin Borough in 1891, and Mrs. Mary Sharp Pringle, her mother, passed away in Conemaugh in 1897. Daniel Pringle was a merchant at Wilmore many years ago. On December 3, 1857, Miss Pringle and David W. Coulter were united in marriage at Summerhill. The deceased is survived by her husband and the following children: Annie, wife of George Parks, of Rockwood; Emma, widow of Henry Fite, of Franklin Borough; Dollie, wife of James S. Gettemy, of Conemaugh; William P., of Franklin Borough, who is a member of the firm of Harris & Coulter, and David P., of Locust street, the Franklin-street cigar dealer. The two children of Charles and Gertrude Parks Wolfersberger, formerly of the South Side, this city, now of Rockwood, are great-grand-children of the deceased. The funeral will take place at 2 o'clock to-morrow afternoon when the Rev. H. A. Buffington, _____ of the Conemaugh United Brethren Church, will conduct the obsequies. Interment will be made in Headrick's Cemetery in East Taylor Township. Mrs. Coulter was a member of the United Brethren Church all her life and was one of the best known women of Cambria County. She was a loving wife and an excellent mother. |
