| CRESSON, Dec. 8. - Mrs. Christina (Paul) Brown, aged 79 years, widow of John Brown, expired at 2:45 o'clock this morning at the Brown residence on Front street. Her death was due to a complication of diseases. She had been ill for the past two weeks. The deceased was born on September 24, 1842, at Pringle Hill, this county. She was a daughter of the late Louis and Mary Paul. Mrs. Brown is survived by the following children: Mrs. Wallace Plummer, of Pittsburg; William Brown, of Sell street, Johnstown; A. O. Brown, of this place, and Miss Myrtle Brown, at home. Fourteen grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren also survive the deceased. She also is survived by one brother, Philip Paul of Sheridan, Pa. Mrs. Brown resided here for the past 28 years. Funeral services will be held at the Brown home at 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon and will be in charge of the Rev. J. S. Helm, pastor of the local Presbyterian Church. Interment will be made in Union Cemetery at the Summit. The body has been turned over to George Brothers, undertakers, of South Fork, to prepare for burial. |
