Mother of John O. Foster Expired on the 8th; Interment at Bedford.
Mrs. Eliza Foster, aged sixty-six years and twenty-five days, died of paralysis on Saturday, February 8th, at the home of her daughter in Cleveland, where she had been lying in a critical condition for some time. She was a daughter of William [sic - s/b John] and Phebe Blackhart and was born at Ray's Hill, Bedford County, in January 1842. She and Mr. Foster were married in Bedfor [sic] County a long time ago. Her husband and a son, William Foster, preceded her to the grave. For some years after the Great Flood of 1889 Mrs. Foster made her home in Johnstown. Mrs. Foster is survived by three children -- John O., of Somerset street, Johnstown; Harry T., of Bedford, and Mrs. Anderson, of Cleveland. The remains were taken to Bedford on Tuesday and interred in the cemetery there. |
