HENRY McHUGH CELEBRATES 25TH ANNIVERSARY OF ORDINATION* The 25th anniversary of the ordination of the Rev. Fr. Henry McHugh of Wilmore, was formerly celebrated yesterday morning by a high mass at which the Rev. Fathers Boyle of Johnstown, Ryan of Gallitzen, Brady of Erhenfeld, and Deasy of Ebensburg were present and officiated in the ceremonies. A large congregation was in attendance, many of whom were present at the Rev. WISSINGER CALLED BY DEATH Scalp Level Woman Had Not Enjoyed Good Health Since 1918 Mrs. Robert L. Wissinger, aged 60 years, who had not enjoyed good health for the last 15 years, died last evening at her home, 520 Bedford street, Scalp Level, her death being due to a complication of ailments. Mrs. Wissinger was a member of the Scalp Level Evangelical Church where funeral services will be held on Friday afternoon by the Rev. W. W. Hall, pastor, and the Rev. W. W. Elrick, of Moxham, with interment in Richland Cemetery. Lloyd Shank, mortician, will convey the body to the church at 10 o’clock, the services to start an hour later. Amanda (Hershberger) Wissinger was a daughter of Jonas and Mary (Moore) Hershberger and was born in 1873. She and Mr. Wissinger were married in this city in August, 1894, by the Rev. A. J. Beal, of the Albright Church. The deceased is survived by her husband, five children, nine grandchildren, a brother, James Hershberger, and two sisters, Mrs. William Barnett and Miss Mary Hershberger, all residing in Scalp Level. The sons and daughters are: Mrs. Mary Phillips, Merrill Wissinger, Mrs. Willard Heichel and Robert Wissinger, jr., all of Scalp Level, and Mrs. E. D. SOMERSET, Sept. 26. --- Mrs. John Carey, sr., aged 58, died yesterday afternoon at her home here, following a stroke of paralysis. She had been in poor health for the last four months. Surviving are her husband and these children: John, jr., and Edgar Carey, both of Somerset; Mrs. Clarence Sehrock, of Somerset; Elmer, Betty, Joseph, Leon and Magdaline, all of Somerset. She was a sister of Elizabeth Darrah, of Meyersdale. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday morning in St. Peter’s Catholic Church, in charge of the Rev. Father J. P. Manning. Interment will be in the Husband cemetery, in charge of Charles R. Hauger, local mortician.
