Samuel Adams (on Richland Twp Site)

There are three graves in this general area. In the area of the southwest corner (on the right coming from Geistown), is a single grave stone marked "Weaver". Across Mt. Airy Road is another marker which locates the burial spot of Samuel Adams and an unknown Indian. According to Adams Township history, Samuel Adams and "an indian" killed each other in an encounter while members of Samuel's family were in flight to Bedford to escape further Indian raids.

Both of these locations are in jeopardy of being lost due to land development in the area.
