ceased; (3) George, lives at Geistown, married Miss Rachel Confer, and they have the following children: May; Ethel, deceased; John; Marion; Delma; Kenneth, and Ruth; (5) Mary, died at age of seven years; (6) Bridget Catherine, married and lives at Portage, and they have the following children: Virginia, Raymond, Catherine, Elaine, and Agnes; (7) Anna, married C. W. Anderson, and they have four children, Estelle, Marie, Harry, and John; (8) Matilda, lives at home; (9) Albert, lives at home, is a World war veteran, having served in France with the Medical Corps of the 164th Infantry; an (10) David lives at home.
    Mr. Zickerhoof and his family hold membership in St. Joseph's Catholic Church and he is affiliated with the Knights of Columbus. He has served as school director and is a highly esteemed member of the community.




    Dr. C. J. Bibb. One of the most accomplished physicians and surgeons of Cambria County is Dr. C. J. Bibb, who is engaged in the practice of his profession at Portage. He was born in McLean County, Ky., Feb. 10, 1886, and is the son of William E. and Martha Jane (Gish) Bibb.
    William E, Bibb was born in McLean County, Ky., in 1858, and until the time of his retirement was extensively engaged in general farming and stock raising. He resides at Sacramento, Ky., where he is an active member of the Baptist Church. His wife was born in Kentucky in 1860 and died 1914. To Mr. and Mrs. Bibb the following children were born: William Sherman and Elizabeth, both deceased; John T., lives in McLean County, Ky.; Minnie and Charles O., both at home; Dr. C. J., the subject of this sketch; Florence married Nathan Miller, lives in McLean County, Ky.; Ruth lives in California; George Dewey and Hazel, both at home.
    Dr. C. J. Bibb received his early education in the public schools and was graduated from Bowling Green (Ky.) Normal School, after which he began the study of medicine at Jefferson Medical College, Philadelphia. He received his degree in 1913, spent the following year as an intern in Philadelphia St. Mary's Hospital. He then entered the St. Christopher's Hospital for Children's Diseases as the chief resident physician and served one year, and in 1915 established his practice in Portage. Doctor Bibb has also spent a year in special study. Besides his extensive practice, he is surgeon for the Pennsylvania Railroad Company and medical inspector of the public schools of Portage and the surrounding community.
