Peter, lives at Nanty Glo; Annie, married John Sabo, lives at Nanty Glo; Mary, at home; and five children died in infancy.
    Michael Mihalik spent his boyhood at Ramey, Clearfield County, where he attended the public schools. He began his business career at Emans, Pa., in the employ of Greenwich Supply Company. In 1907 he went with Big Bend Supply Company, Expedit, as a clerk, and later removed to Windber, where he was associated with the Eureka Supply Company. From there he went to Altoona as timekeeper for the A.L. Anderson & Sons Company. Railroad contractors. On September 22, 1917, Mr. Mihalik volunteered for service in the World War and was sent to Camp Lee, Va., and later transferred to Camp Gordon, Ga., where he was assigned to Head quarters Company, 321st Field Artillery, 82nd Division. He served in France a year and engaged in the Saint Mihiel and Argonne drives. He was discharged as a corporal at Camp Dix, N.J., May 28, 1919, after having served in Germany with the Army Occupation. Mr. Mihalik then located at Nanty Glo as a teller for the Union Bank, of which he later served as assistant cashier. In December, 1923, he accepted his present responsible position as cashier of the Vintondale State Bank.
    Politically Mr. Mihalik is a Republican and he is treasurer of the borough. He is a member of the Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and American Legion, Ebensberg.




    Paul Graham, who is successfully engaged in the general merchantile business at Vintondale, is a native of Pennsylvania. He was born at Lecontes, Aug. 18, 1882, and is a son of Robert and Dora (Jury) Graham.
    Robert Graham, deceased, was a native of Clearfield County, where he spent his entire life. He was a farmer and also engaged in the lumber business. He was a Democrat and a member of the Methodist Church. His widow resides in Clearfield County. Mr. and Mrs. Graham had three sons: Paul, the subject of this sketch; Wilber, lives at Easton, Texas; and Porter, lives at Johnstown.
    Paul Graham received his education in the schools of Clearfield County and for a number of years engaged in lumbering. In 1904 he removed to Vintondale, where he entered the employ of Sherman J. Ruffner. In May, 1909, he established his present business, having purchased the store of Samuel Brett. He carries a complete line of general merchandise, as well as drugs and sundries.
