    Clyde Gutwald is a veteran of the World war and a progressive young business man of Gallitzin. He was born in this city Sept. 26, 1891, and is the son of Peter and Clara L. (Bradley) Gutwald.
    Peter Gutwald was born in Ebensburg and for a number of years engaged in the meat business at Gallitzin. In 1920 he removed to Altoona, Pa., where he is engaged in business. His wife was born in Cambria County. They have five children, of whom Frank is deceased. He died in 1921 at the age of 22 years.
    Clyde Gutwald received his early education at Gallitzin and attended Villa Nova College, near Philadelphia, where he studied mechanical engineering. Since 1920 he has conducted a meat business in Gallitzin and has a well established trade.
    On April 19, 1920, Mr. Gutwald was united in marriage with Miss Dessa M. Heeter of Altoona, Pa., the daughter of Harry C. and Ida (Clabaugh) Heeter. They have no children.
    Mr. Gutwald served in France during the World war as a member of Company A, Three Hundred Eighteenth Infantry. He is a Democrat, a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, and is serving as a member of the local school board. He is a director of the First National Bank of Gallitzin. He has a wide acquaintance in Cambria County, where he has spent his entire life.

    O. P. Flick, who has the agency for the Oakland and Pontiac automobiles at Saint Benedict, is among Cambria County's most enterprising young business men. He was born in Spangler, June 18, 1895, the son of Peter C. and Rose Ann (Bishop) Flick.
    Peter C. Flick, who lives retired, was born in Cambria County, March 10, 1849, the son of Charles and Theresa (Herdsoch) Flick. Charles Flick was born in Germany and at an early age emigrated to the United States, settling in the western part of Pennsylvania, where he engaged in farming. His son, Peter C., learned the trade of carpenter, which he followed for many years. He lives at Saint Benedict. His wife was born near Loretto, Pa., April 12, 1850, and died Jan. 2, 1919. She is buried at Carrolltown. Mr. and Mrs. Flick were the parents of the following children: Charles V., born in 1873, died in 1906; Edward M., born in 1875, lives at Beaverdale, Pa.; William F., born in 1878, died in 1919; Mary Theresa,
