Clyde Gutwald is a veteran of the World war and a progressive young business man of Gallitzin. He was born in this city Sept. 26, 1891, and is the son of Peter and Clara L. (Bradley) Gutwald. O. P. Flick, who has the agency for the Oakland and Pontiac automobiles at Saint Benedict, is among Cambria County's most enterprising young business men. He was born in Spangler, June 18, 1895, the son of Peter C. and Rose Ann (Bishop) Flick. Peter C. Flick, who lives retired, was born in Cambria County, March 10, 1849, the son of Charles and Theresa (Herdsoch) Flick. Charles Flick was born in Germany and at an early age emigrated to the United States, settling in the western part of Pennsylvania, where he engaged in farming. His son, Peter C., learned the trade of carpenter, which he followed for many years. He lives at Saint Benedict. His wife was born near Loretto, Pa., April 12, 1850, and died Jan. 2, 1919. She is buried at Carrolltown.
